METU Design Factory Attended Train the Trainers Workshop at CERN IdeaSquare

METU Design Factory participated in the Train the Trainers workshop held at CERN IdeaSquare as part of the TECH2X project, supported by the European Institute of Innovation and Technology (EIT). The workshop focused on the IdeaSquare Planet (i2Planet) methodology.

Developed within CERN’s innovation ecosystem, the i2Planet approach enables students to address complex challenges through speculative scenarios on an imaginary exoplanet, fostering systems thinking, multidisciplinary collaboration, and creative problem-solving.

During the workshop, participants explored facilitation techniques, immersive storytelling, and team dynamics, while gaining hands-on experience with the methodology. The programme also emphasized translating speculative ideas into real-world solutions addressing global challenges such as sustainability and accessible healthcare.

The knowledge and tools gained from the workshop will be implemented in Tasarım Fabrikası’s Deep-tech Driven Design (ARCH 469) course, contributing to the development of innovative and experiential learning environments.
